Hotel de Zon also includes Landgoed Het Laer, a five to ten minute drive away — still bookable until 1 October 2026, with four halls for up to a hundred and fifty people, a large stretch tent and the mirror garden.
Meet and celebrate in the Vechtdal
Two halls on the banks of the Vecht: the Vecht Boardroom seats sixteen around an organically shaped round table, looking out over the river. The Greenhouse — our most recently renovated hall — takes up to eighty people and can be arranged freely. Both halls have plenty of daylight and work just as well for a fully laid dinner. Between sessions you step straight into the green surroundings.
Weddings and celebrating special moments
From an intimate ceremony to a large celebration: at De Zon you mark your wedding day on the banks of the Vecht, in the heart of Ommen. Landgoed Het Laer hands its events over to Hotel de Zon as of October 2026 — the weddings, anniversaries and special occasions you knew at Het Laer will be found here from then on. With the warm hospitality the Vechtdal is known for, and rooms to stay over.
Landgoed Het Laer — until 1 October 2026
Until 1 October 2026 you can still book Landgoed Het Laer, a five to ten minute drive from the hotel. Inside there are four halls, together seating up to a hundred and fifty people; dinner is served for up to eighty guests. Outside you find a large stretch tent and the mirror garden — room for a workshop, a meeting, a lunch, a dinner or a celebration that runs well into the evening. Would you like to organise something here, or had you already planned something? Get in touch and we will look at what is possible. After 1 October 2026 all gatherings move to Hotel de Zon, on the Vecht in Ommen.

Until 1 October 2026 you can still book Het Laer as usual — weddings, meetings, anniversaries and celebrations go ahead exactly as you know them. After that we hand the events over to Hotel de Zon: from then on you organise them there, a five to ten minute drive away, on the Vecht in Ommen. Already planned something at Het Laer?
