Yes. Since Landgoed Het Laer stopped hosting events, you can also hold your wedding at De Zon — from an intimate ceremony to an elaborate celebration. You're also welcome for a birthday, anniversary or other occasion; we're happy to tailor the details to you.
Can I stay overnight afterwards?
Yes, Hotel de Zon is a hotel, so an overnight stay after your gathering or party is possible. Contact us for current availability.
Is Hotel de Zon an official wedding venue in Ommen?
Yes. You marry on the banks of the Vecht, in the heart of Ommen, with two halls that suit anything from an intimate ceremony to a reception for eighty people. Brasserie Bresson takes care of dinner, and your guests simply stay over — which turns a wedding day into a wedding weekend.
What is happening to Landgoed Het Laer?
Landgoed Het Laer hands its events over to Hotel de Zon as of October 2026. The weddings, meetings, anniversaries and celebrations you knew at Het Laer will be organised here from then on — a five to ten minute drive away, on the Vecht in Ommen.
